The INEC program Children for the Arts began

The INEC started Children for the Arts, an arts education program aimed at children and teenagers from poor families in the Bronx.
The program began with a first class cycle of 10 weeks duration, including music, creative writing, folk dance, drawing and painting. Classes are held on Saturdays.
The program has financial support from The New Yankee Stadium Community Fund and contributions made by the project beneficiary families.
The classes enabled classrooms are those of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, in 1544 Shakespeare Avenue.
The classes will end the last weekend of June 2012.
